This policy explains what information Meesho Autofill (“we”, “us”) collects through this website and our Chrome extension, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Name and email address, used to identify your account and sign you in.
- Password, which is never stored in plain text. We store only a one-way bcrypt hash.
- Account timestamps, such as when your account was created and when you last signed in.
When you use the website or sign-in endpoints, your IP address is processed briefly to protect against abuse (rate limiting). It is held in memory only and is not saved to our database.
2. Information we do not collect
- We never see or store your Meesho Supplier Panel password.
- The extension fills forms in your own browser. It does not submit listings on your behalf.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising trackers.
3. Product profiles
The catalog data you capture with the extension (field values, dropdown choices and size rows) is used solely to autofill your listings. You can export your profiles to a file and delete them at any time from the extension.
4. Cookies and sessions
We use a single essential, HTTP-only cookie to keep you signed in to the website. It expires after 7 days or when you sign out. The extension uses an equivalent sign-in token stored in your browser. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.
5. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To provide and improve the extension's features.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
- To contact you about important changes to the service.
6. Storage and security
Account data is stored in a managed MongoDB database. Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and sessions are signed. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Sharing
We share data only with infrastructure providers that host and run the service (for example, our hosting and database providers), and only as needed to operate it, or when required by law.
8. Your choices and rights
You can request a copy of your account data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing us. We keep account data only for as long as your account is active, unless we are required to keep it longer by law.
9. Children
Meesho Autofill is intended for Meesho suppliers and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and notify you of significant changes.
